OVERVIEW
A safari to Mikumi National Park in Tanzania, staying at Vuma Hills Safari Camp.
Vuma Hills Tented Camp is perched above the trees overlooking wilderness in the south west of Mikumi National Park.
Siutuated in the forests of the Vuma Mountains that overlook the Mkata Plains, Vuma Hills Tented Camp offers a comfortable bush camp experience, with a stunning bar and restaurant overlooking the plains, as well as a swimming pool to cool off in during the day.
The camp is unfenced which means wildife is free to roam around the camp. For safety, Maasai guides take guests on short walking safaris between their rooms and other camp areas.

Vuma Hills Tented Camp boasts sixteen luxury tents, all comfortably furnished, so sleeping under canvas at Vuma is a real safari adventure and far cry from the discomfort usually associated with camps.
Complete with shaded wooden veranda at the front of the tents from which to do game viewing and en suite bathroom facilities at the rear, there is not much more to be asked for.
The golden grasslands of Mikumi provide the backdrop for your safari with a large concentration of mammals, birds and reptiles, while the forests and mountains to the south-east border the vast Selous Game Reserve

Sixteen large walk in safari tents, comfortably furnished, with a wooden deck furnished with safari chairs and tables from which to watch the game in privacy
An en suite bathroom at the back of the safari tents, so there is not much more to be asked for.

The Vuma Hills Safari Camp, has a cosy bar area centred around a open air firepit, the perfect place to enjoy drinks in the evening and share stories.
The bar leads to a large open decking area from where you can take in the setting sun over the Mkata plains below.
Adjacent to the bar under the the same thatch boma, you can enjoy your safari dinning experience with stunning views in all directions.

BEST TIME TO GO
The best time for visiting is in the dry months between June to February. Vuma Hills Tented Camp remains open all year round, but access to some areas of the park may be limited during March to June, due to the rains.
