But dont be fooled. The camps offer a luxury barefoot bush experience, with large walk in safari tents, beautiful furniture, tantalising cuisine and highly professional and experienced rangers to guide you on your African safari adventure!

ENTAMANU NGORONGORO
Entamanu Ngorongoro (meaning ‘circle' in Maa) is the only place in the world where you can enjoy views into both the Crater and the Serengeti. Our camp is uniquely off the beaten track on the wild side of the iconic Ngorongoro Crater rim, offering an unspoilt, unparalleled Crater wildlife experience, as well as giving an authentic insight into the land and culture that surrounds it.
Occupying such a spectacular site, at 7,284 feet (2,220 meters) ASL, challenged us to design a camp with the utmost sensitivity to the environment, and Entamanu Ngorongoro successfully combines a light footprint with comfort and style. The camp has seven en-suite rooms, with indoor heating, hot and cold running water and flush toilets. Two rooms are family units consisting of two separate bedrooms connected via a shared en-suite. Because we occupy such an elemental site we have designed our camp to be a refuge from the elements. The sun gets hot up here, and the nights and early mornings cold, and some months (June to mid-September) it can be very windy, so always come prepared with warm clothes no matter what season you travel in.
Activities here include game drives into the Ngorongoro Crater, guided walks, bush picnics and sundowners, together with genuine Maasai cultural experiences.

SERENGETI SAFARI CAMP
Our Serengeti Safari Camp was the first of its kind. It was designed with one purpose in mind; to be in the best possible location to view the wildebeest migration as it covers hundreds of miles of the Serengeti National Park each year. So it should come as no surprise that it really hasn't changed much since its early pioneering days.
Each year, the camp casts off from Lamai Serengeti and begins its own odyssey. Covering hundreds of miles and moving every couple of months along a route that the herds have travelled for hundreds of years, Serengeti Safari Camp is where you come for your migration fix.
We understand well the Serengeti seasons and game movements, and how best to mirror them in this little nomadic camp. Serengeti Safari Camp has just six large walk-in meru tents, with a dressing area and an en-suite bathroom at the rear. New eco-flush toilets and safari-style bucket showers are part of every tent, as well as jugs of hot and cold water delivered as and when you'd like them.
The main dining tent sits in the middle of the line of tents, with the fireplace right in front and a separate library/bar tent nearby

BEST TIME TO GO
This is the first best time to visit the Ngorongoro Crater and the Serengeti is from June to October. You can have a great safari experience during this period because wildlife is easier to spot due to the dryness and shortness of the grass.
However both these destinations are good all year round.

DAY 1 - 3 / ENTAMANU NGORONGORO
At Entamanu Ngorongoro we define our version of this iconic wilderness. Our site allows us to drive down into the Crater soon after dawn and well before the crowds. Our guides, because they know wilderness is a pleasure best taken alone, are incredibly clever at avoiding people while showing you breathtaking wildlife. We love to walk, and walking along the Crater rim with our highly trained Nomad guides, an armed scout and a local Maasai it is a chance to learn about the smaller things, and the ancient Maasai culture. A visit to the nearby Maasai boma, to which we have exclusive access is an experience not to be missed. Read more about Entamanu Ngorongoro.
We have exclusive access to a neighbouring Maasai boma at Entamanu Ngorongoro. Integral to any cultural interactions we offer at our camps is that they are genuine and not marred by the presence of tourists.
TRAVEL WITH YOUR GUIDE FROM ENTAMANU NGORONGORO TO SERENGETI SAFARI CAMP
Wave an early goodbye to Entamanu Ngorongoro as you set off for Serengeti Safari Camp. Depending on the time of year you may fly to Serengeti Safari Camp, or drive your way down with your guide. This journey is one of our favourites in Tanzania. Descending off the Crater and onto the Serengeti plains gives you a real appreciation for the scale of this epic wilderness.

FLY FROM THE SERENGETI TO ARUSHA
After a leisurely breakfast, pack your bags and take a short last game drive back to the airstrip to catch your return flight back to Arusha and on home. This flight offers stunning views of the Ngorongoro Highlands and often passes directly over the Crater itself.
